Saint Gabriels encompasses the parishes of Kilconnell, Cappataggle, Kilrickle & Aughrim. The home of Saint Gabriels Gaelic Football Club runs to 2 grounds, the club's ground in Kilconnell boasts a main club house/changing rooms, a car park, a training pitch & a full size playing pitch. The second ground is Aughrim pitch which consists of dressing rooms and a main pitch it is hoped to develop the ground in 2009. The Club also runs a monthly lotto to raise funds for the running of the club on a daily basis. 

CLICK HERE FOR ST GABRIELS FOOTBALL WEBSITE St Gabriels runs both senior and juvenile teams beginning from an early age. The club is currently developing the ground and now boasts the addition of a brand new stand with approximately 200 seats. The Saint Gabriels crest can be see here it encompasses the Kilconnell friary and the Battle of Aughrim in its design. Results '08 -'09. so far - We have had our most successful start ever to the league!  With three straight wins on the trot we are now 2nd in the league with game in hand.

Team Captain for the season, Ciaran Finn, has put this rich vein of form down to our youth policy, with the introduction of a handful of talented youngsters this season.


Cappataggle Hurling Club Website'CAPPY' is the local hurling club in the area and it is not uncommon for players that play hurling for Cappataggle to also play gaelic football for Saint Gabriels indeed both of the clubs crests encompasse elements from the area such as the Kilconnell Friary and the famous Battle of Aughrim. KARATE is taught in the village of New Inn only 10 minutes drive from Kilconnell, many children and teenagers make the exodus on a friday night from Kilconnell and its surrounding areas for their 2 hour intensive sessions.Class ages range from small children through to Adults.


Badminton is played in Kilconnell's main hall.
