Modern day Kilconnell is a quiet village, it consists of many established family businesses from public houses to a funeral home! It also has a hardware store, newsagents & post office amongst others and many people living in the village are farmers, builders, tilers and even sportwear providers.
     



New Surgery times for Kilconnell Health Centre start from Monday 19/10/09 and can be seen below.


Monday; 9 am to 12 pm  &  4 pm to 6 pm.

Tuesday; 2.30 pm to 5 pm

Wednesday; 9 am to 12 pm

Thursday; 9 am to 12 pm  &   2.30 to 5 pm

Friday; 9 am to 12 pm

Saturday; Emergency Only by Appointment 10 am to 12 pm.

Kilconnell is also home to the Arrabawn Co-op, which employs people in the Manufacture of Liquid Milk and stores for the local farmers.


St Gabriels National SchoolSaint Gabriels is the National School in Kilconnell. The school now boasts the Green Flag Award for the environment, which is an special award given to organisations that have run programmes to help and protect the environment such as anti litter campaigns. Ms Roisin Ryan is the School Principal.  


Kilconnell Village is now complimented by a new business the Ballinderry Child Care Facility this now provides the village with a purpose built pre school child care creche, nursery and after schools service also.


The church in the village is an extremely busy and important part of life in Kilconnell.It has many features of historical note. The bell tower behind the church is of particular interest and the mosaic above the entrance to the church is a wonderful murel.

KILCONNELL COMMUNITY HALLThe area also has a Community Hall which hosts amongst other things badminton & Bingo.The Community Hall will hopefully be upgraded soon!


The 52 bed Ballinderry Nursing Home was also opened in Kilconnell, it is situated in a private road just off the Cappateaggle road.
